Inside/Outside Plant Services

Our technicians work hand-in-hand with network engineers to guarantee the job is done right. The splicing and testing component of any fibre optic construction build is the most critical stage of the project for today’s end-user requirements. The installation of fibre optic cables into a splice enclosure requires a strong working knowledge of bare fibre management and high-quality equipment.

Our technicians have extensive knowledge of technical splicing to minimize loss of optical signal through the build from end to end. Whether it’s an inside plant rack/wall mount insulation or a fibre optic splicing case on the outside plan structure, we ensure quality testing results and turnover to the end-user.

Network Engineer Support & Fibre Organization

We work hand in hand with the telco engineers when troubleshooting various locations so they can update their records for future planning needs. Our technicians are incredible at repairing the condition of cases, point of presence, and telco rooms. Many of the older fibre optic cases are poorly labelled and the spare fibre on the splicing tray has been trapped by previous contractors. Each fibre needs to be traced one by one and untangled from the live fibres to generate enough slack to be correctly spliced as per the design needs.

At Central Core, we take the time to label all spare fibres that we find on the splice trays. We untangle the spare fibre and group them together by placing them on the tray last so they are ready to be used for the next required service work. We do this not only for the fibre we require as per our work order but all additional fibre we find on the tray that can be untangled without damage.

Maintenance & Customer Support Services

Oftentimes, manholes are left disorganized and in a mess, whether it’s from past work or the elements. We offer cleaning services to make sure the manhole doesn’t cost more time and money to maintain after every entry.

Our maintenance and customer support services include but are not limited to: the cleaning of manholes and vaults, re-racking existing cables and securing fibre optic splice cases to Unistrut racking, installation of Unistrut for racking cables and splice case enclosures, installation of duct plugs, relabelling of cables at the case and duct bank, recording of cable metre marks at the entrance to the splice case enclosure and manhole duct banks, manhole auditing of existing telco cables and cases, and re-establishing ground wires from splice cases to Unistrut frame.
